Company attributes its rise from No. 49 in 2025 to a source-first approach to technical documentation that has shaped its localization practice since 1990

Irvine, California / 500NewsWire / September 7, 2026 / Hansem Global, a technical documentation and localization provider serving manufacturing, industrial equipment, and medical device manufacturers worldwide, today announced it has risen to No. 37 on CSA Research’s Verified 100™ (2026), up from No. 49 the previous year. The company attributes the 12-place climb to what it calls its “Documentation DNA”, a source-first discipline built over 36 years, long before localization became part of its business.

CSA Research’s Verified 100 expanded this year to include global content solutions providers alongside traditional language service providers, tightening its focus on companies that, in the research firm’s words, “can create the content, ship it in every language, and keep all of it current as products change.” Hansem Global’s jump in the rankings places it among a small group of providers recognized for owning both halves of that equation.

“Most localization problems don’t start in translation. They start in the source document, and a bad one is often signed off as correct long before it ever reaches a translator,” said Brian Cho, Director of Hansem Global USA. “One error in a source manual doesn’t stay one error. Once it’s carried into 50 languages, it’s 50 errors, each one shipped to a different market under the same company’s name.”

That principle traces back to 1990, when Hansem Global was founded as one of Korea’s first specialized technical writing companies, before it did any translation work at all. Its evolution since then:

1990–2000: Built technical documentation from the ground up in Korea, integrating technical writers, DTP specialists, graphic designers, and illustrators into a single production process spanning information planning through final layout. Many of the quality methods developed in this period are still in use today.

2001–2010: Scaled to localizing manuals into 50 languages and developed more than 60 proprietary automated QA tools to catch errors that manual review misses at that volume.

2011–2020: Expanded beyond technical manuals into marketing, gaming, and e-learning localization, and opened regional offices in the United States, Vietnam, and China.

2021–present: Integrating AI translation platforms with human-led quality verification, preserving human judgment for the documentation decisions, including safety warnings, regulatory language, and product-specific terminology, which carry the most risk if handled incorrectly.

That documentation-first lineage, the company argues, is what separates it from vendors that started in translation and later added content creation. A translation-first vendor inherits a source document as-is; Hansem Global’s teams are trained to examine source structure, terminology, and procedural accuracy before a single sentence is translated. Catching problems at the one point in the pipeline where fixing them doesn’t mean fixing them 50 times over.

Today, Hansem Global employs more than 170 full-time specialists across its headquarters in Suwon, South Korea, and offices in Irvine, California, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The company creates content in more than 100 languages, with active manual localization programs in 50-plus, and holds ISO 9001, ISO 17100, ISO 18587, and ISO/IEC 27001 certifications, including a rare ISO 9001 scope that covers manual development itself, not just translation quality management.

“This ranking lands at a good moment for us in the U.S.,” added Cho. “We’re actively growing our presence here with manufacturing and medical device customers, and the CSA Research jump gives them a third-party reason to take that conversation seriously. It’s proof that this isn’t a company still figuring out what quality control looks like outside Korea.”
